Trip 2015 has begun!

Europe Trip 2015    Norway   -   Loire Valley   -   Paris    -    Denmark

The plane ride went well. This is the snow on the mountains arriving in Norway.
This streetcar runs near my hotel but it is very quiet believe it or not.
This is the Norway National Opera House and it is only about 4 blocks from my hotel so I'm using it as a landmark.
These buildings are near the center of the very upscaled shopping district.
Some of the buildings are very cool.
I stopped for a bacon wrapped hotdog and a Coke Zero ($7.50 US) at the park. I'm saving the serious eating for France.
There are a lot of quiet green space areas like this one.
The flowers are plentiful and many are some form of purple. I know Cindy Weber will like the purple flowers.
Pink and purple tulips in the park.
The city has rental bikes and they have ads on the rear wheel covers. Bikes are common, but not like Holland.
They have a lot of bronze statues in Oslo but this is my favorite. And one of the few with clothing. More purple flowers!
These ducks were enjoying the niceday.
These are public pay toilets atthe edge of a park.
These 5 electric cars were all charging at a city charging station.
Here's a tiny 7 eleven I saw on a side street.
By the harbor next to Akershus Fortress and you can see a dinner cruise boat and the giant cruise ship.
Entering Akershus Fortress is quite a walk. The cobble stone streets are uneven and my feet are now sore.
The grounds are kept spotless.
This is a good size fort.
The walls are very fort like.
Wildflowers are growing through out the city.
The fortresses cathedral.
I wonder if the could take out the Princesscruise ship next to them.
An old SAAB (Swedish Car).
That's it for day one, by the way it's still not  really dark at 10:30pm.
