The very small but popular town of Beilstein.      2011

Visitors bikes out number the whole towns population of about 50 residents I guess.     2011

This house needs a shave or at least a trim!       2011

View from castle top of Beilstein, this is a hike up the steps I'll tell ya.      2011

Beilstein, I think I was the youngest visitor that day, but many came by bike!       2011

Cochem

The Cochem train station is in a very cool, old and well preserved.  The bike rental place is very close by.       2011

Iwalked up the winding road to the castle above my hotel. this shot was taken at dusk about 9pm here. Once I headed up the steep walkway, it was deserted, except for me and tons of grape vines.  The Castle and most of Germany closes early.       2011

One of the wine tasting bars right behind my hotel.  It's close enough to crawl back from, if needed.      2011

I had to test out the bike path across the river on my arrival.  The next morning a took of on a short version of the Mosel Cycle route, the part I did  is about 45 km (about 32 miles) round trip and 2/3 on one side of the river and 1/3 on the other. The manager at the hotel told me it's spectacular and gave me a map and wrote down the highlights.  The Trip starts in Cochem and travels west towards France. You pass through the towns of Ernst, Senhals, Bremm and Beilstein.        2011

Cochem's castle looks like a movie set model.     2005

I arrived in Cochem and rented a bike.  Cute basket huh? Well it holds stuff, like wine,

cheese, camera  etc. (Not Very Macho).        2011

While cycling next to the river, I noticed a BMW Isetta coming towards me and then I noticed

it was a parade of them so I stopped the bike and grabbed my camera and managed to get a

picture of a few of them. This is one of my favorite cars ever!     2011
