The Ring of Kerry

I liked this sign pole in the center of Kenmare, they had squeezed a lot of businesses on it.     2014

I started my Ring of Kerry tour at town of Kenmare, I think it's the nicest of all of the Ring of Kerry towns, but I would still recommend Killarney as the place to stay, because of the Killarney National Park and much more to do in town,      2014

I love the business signs hanging over each business front door, they are works of art.      2014

The sheep are right next to the ride and eager to talk to you. These guys were a little muddy but happy.     2014

This guy did it all, He had a bar, a restaurant, a gas station and repair shop in one building.

By the way this was basically the whole town.   2014

I took this picture about noon time, the day did start sunny, but turned foggy for the majority of the day.    2014

I love this sign, but I can't imagine anyone going here to swim at this beach.    2014

There were other travelers, but not many on this day, probably because of the heavy fog and low clouds.    2014

There are many points from which you can see the water below.     2014

These two cows were grazing right next to the edge of a cliff, and I don't know what keeps them from falling off except common sense.   Do cows have common sense?     2014

I love the giant handicap parking spot at the bar front door. I wonder if leaving drunk counts.     2014

By the time I got to CaherDaniel, the fog had really moved in like split pea soup.      2014

This towns claim to fame, is it river and it was impressive.     2014

The water was raging by so I walk on the bridge to take this photo.     2014

I liked these store fronts in this town, They where simple.     2014

This is one of the cliff look out points, and nothing to see except fog for about 7 miles.     2014

Even with all the fog you could see the pretty coastline.     2014

I took a few of the tiny exit roads off of the ring road and this one was on it's way

to the beach and the road was nice and better than the beach.      2014

There were a few farms on the Ring of Kerry, but not many, it is to rocky I'm guessing.     2014

Near the end of my Ring of Kerry adventure, I was this on the side of the road and had to stop for a photo.     2014

The Dingle Peninsula

Even though I was in the middle of nowhere, roadsigns made it easy not to get lost.      2014

The road to the town of Dingle runs on the coast before heading to the center of the peninsula.     2014

This is a typical house on Dingle, minimal woodwork, because of the salty air, I would guess.     2014

Here's a graveyard I passed in the middle of nowhere. It was small but well kept.    2014

I think the Dingle Peninsula is prettier and much than the Kerry Peninsula.     2014

The fog was not great for travel photos, but it had a spooky feel to it.       2014

Dingle is small and quaint. The buildings facing the water are pubs and fresh seafood sellers.

It was starting to rain lightly, so I found a warm pub to warm up in.    2014

If purple and green work, then pink and green is a shoe in. Here green goes with anything.     2014

In a pub in Dingle I had a big bowl of seafood chowder and a small Guinness (because I had to drive on a very narrow curvy road after), I also had a berry cobbler for dessert.   2014

The harbor is smaller than I had expected and I only saw a handful of fishing boats.    2014

The drive back was rainy and foggy, so not great for pictures, but the Dingle Peninsula was nice.      2014
